Café Kutubna offers coffee making workshops to teach people how different types of espresso-based coffee beverages are made: Lattes, flat whites, cappuccinos, etc. Participants can learn about different types of coffee beans from our barista Beatrice, and the role of grinding in producing delicious coffee, and how to get the best taste out of different beans.

Beatrice Nakitende studied Early Childhood Education in her country, Uganda, but chose a different career path after graduation. She pursued barista and cashiering training to learn the art of coffee making, and mastered various brewing techniques and beverage preparation methods.
Beatrice started working in the hospitality and food and beverage industries in 2018. Since then she has been providing top-notch table service, managing customer orders with precision, and ensuring that dining experiences are memorable.
Beatrice enjoys her work as a barista, she says, “since I get to meet, chat, and joke with lots of people from all parts of the world in the city with uncountable cultures (Dubai).” 
She speaks English, Swahili, and Luganda and knows some Arabic.
