Join this panel discussion featuring five UAE-based authors from diverse backgrounds, Saara Ali, Nadeem Lutfullah, Ghassoub Sharif, Maryam Nuruddin, and Ayesha Rahmaan. These authors, who write across varied genres and subjects, will come together to share their personal journeys of transforming ideas into published works. Whether they chose self-publishing or went the traditional route, the authors will offer valuable insights into the challenges and triumphs they encountered along the way. 

This 75-minute session is designed for writers who aspire to become an author, and will feature an open forum discussion, giving attendees the opportunity to ask questions and exchange ideas. Whether you have a book idea waiting to come to life or are simply curious about the publishing process, this discussion will be an honest conversation about the realities of being a first-time author.

Saara Ali is a Canadian poet and spoken word artist based in Dubai, UAE. She is also a lawyer, entrepreneur and a published writer. 

Nadeem Lutfullah is an author and career coach. He is passionate about empowering and guiding individuals to discover a sense of purpose in their professional lives.

Ghassoub Mustafa is an author from Palestine. At present, he is an Associate Professor at Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University.  

Maryam Nuruddin is a passionate storyteller. She combined her love for reading, writing, and design to create children's picture books.

Ayesha N. Rahmaan is a best-selling children's book author. She is the CEO & founder of Alif2Yaa book publishing and toy company based in Toronto, Canada.
