Kutubna's Design Competition

Our community is brimming with creativity, and we want to celebrate this by featuring one lucky contest winner's work prominently on our new paper coffee cups and bookmarks. What design would you create to embody the spirit of Kutubna Cultural Center? 
Open to all ages and skill levels, this friendly artistic competition is intended to be fun and help us build community with our members, supporters, and neighbors. 
Whether you are a professional graphic designer or an amateur artist or a student with creative tendencies, all are welcome to participate. 
If you are interested in creating and submitting a design for Kutubna's design competition, please read below for the rules and details. 
Prize for 1st Place: 500 AED
Deadline for Entries: March 15, 2024
Winner Announced: April 1, 2024
Parameters for Designs:
Color – Must use Kutubna's brand colors. The Kutubna Color Palette is Blue, Aqua, and White. Specifically, the hexadecimal colors are: 
  • Primary Blue Color is #00A6D0
  • Secondary Aqua Color is #00C9D4
Please see our logo as an example of our color usage. 
Other colors can be used, but the judges will be looking for alignment with the Kutubna brand, logo, colors, and aesthetic. 
Sizes – Please make your designs suitable for both Kutubna's bookmarks and 12 oz. paper coffee cups. Files must be 20 MB or less. 
Copyright – Designs submitted must not include any copyrighted material or artwork that the artist does not own or have public use rights to. 
Submission: 
Email your submission (as a .pdf, .png, or .jpeg) to info@kutubna.ae with subject line Design Competition. 
Submissions must be received in our inbox before midnight on March 15, 2024. 
You can submit up to 3 images for consideration. 
 
Ownership:
By submitting your original art to Kutubna's Design Competition, you are agreeing to give Kutubna full ownership of, and all rights to use the work in perpetuity, should you work win first place. We take intellectual property very seriously, so we make sure to be very explicit when we ask you to donate your creative work to Kutubna. 
We value you and your craft, so we will credit you on our website and social media. We hope all entrants value the work and community that Kutubna provides and are excited to contribute in their own creative way to advancing Kutubna's mission to amplify the voices of Khaleeji, Arab, Middle Eastern, North African, and Muslim writers, poets, thinkers, and researchers through lectures, readings, guided conversations and other activities for people of all ages.
