Papermaking is an older craft than most people might imagine. Ancient hunter-gatherer tribes in Polynesia made paper from tree bark that was used for clothing, bedding and sun protection. This workshop will demonstrate some of the fascinating natural materials you can use to make paper, including Dubai-grown fig trees. All participants take home two sheets of hand-crafted paper. No prior experience is required.
