Arabs have been utilizing incense (Bukhoor) since ancient times. Bukhoor was traditionally used to freshen up homes, ward off evil spirits, calm people, celebrate weddings and as medicine. Traditional assortments of herbs, flowers, tree woods and resins are mixed with natural oils to produce sweet smelling fragrances. Students will be choosing from an assortment of tree wood, resins, oils and herbs to produce their own sweet-smelling Bukhoor. Each student takes home a small box of traditional hand-crafted Bukhoor.
